Teaching Mentor (1-4 positions)
We are looking for a special kind of learning mentor. We pay higher than average wages for those who feel they can bring extraordinary brilliance to our learning environment.
Our teachers will possess experience in or mastery of the following:
- Alternative educational sites
- Team teaching
- Project based learning
- Multi-age classrooms
- Non-graded assessments
- Positive behavior support
- Language arts and math as integrated subjects
- Engaging in self inquiry and self reflection
- Empathy, flexibility, adaptability, trust, respect
- Guiding children in a place-based and experiential learning environment
- Developmentally appropriate teaching tools (Mastery)
- Modeling positive and supportive relationships and communication with parents, teachers, and learners
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 annually with a continuing education stipend, matching retirement contributions and a health/wellness benefit.

Administration & Staff (1-4 positions)
We are looking for dedicated learning mentors. Our school serves children ages 5-18 years old.
Pre-requisites for hiring include experience in:
- Alternative educational site
- Multi-age classrooms
- Positive behavior support
- Experience guiding children
Other attributes of our staff include:
- Enthusiasm for embracing technology
- Ability and willingness to engage in regular self-inquiry and self-reflection
- Commitment to promote student, parent and personal well-being—through ethical, respectful, and collaborative professional relationships
- Team-Player flexibility and adaptability
- Attentiveness to observing/documenting what is happening within the child to determine areas of strength and growth
- Experience guiding children. Teaching experience welcome but not required
- Appreciation of various learning styles with awareness of the student’s strengths and weaknesses
- Empathetic communication skills (e.g., teacher with students, with parents/caregivers, and with colleagues)
- Valuing teacher-parent relationships with regard to communication, timing, and respect
- Promote positive relationships through modeling emotional safety and mutual respect
- Understanding of what are developmentally appropriate expectations
